OFC Meeting 1 --> Here
As mentioned on the OFC Meeting 1 page, our first meeting was on 16 Jan 2018 at Serious Coffee in south Parksville, but the room was too noisy for any sort of conversation. For the next two meetings (13 Feb and 13 Mar) we moved to the boardroom at Qualicum Foods, where the chairs are very comfortable, the room is elegant and mostly quiet, and there is food and coffee available right down the hall. No A/V options, though.
Now we have a third option, thanks to Jane Juda's efforts. She says, "I received a call today from Susan of Vancouver Island Library, Parksville Branch (250.248.3841 x4). She can offer OFC a room in the building (100 Jensen) and was suggesting Saturday. We could have it from 1-3 (or another convenient time for the group), no charge. The room is large, has a door and a window, is quiet and there probably is technology available for power point presentations. (It's the same room we use for ElderCollege Board meetings.) Susan is starting with Saturday as there is less competition for the room on Saturdays and, if acceptable to OFC, the same room can be set up on a regular basis."
What do you think? Should we move back to Parksville? Is Sat 1-3 PM an acceptable time?
The more opinions we get to hear in advance, the more likely we will be able to reach an equitable consensus at the next meeting. -- Jess

QF would be better for me, since I live in QB. However, Saturday 1-3 in Parksville is OK for me (most of the time anyway) -- Henk
