January-20-13: Condolences to Uncle Jack's wife Penny, and to my cousins, Ron and Wendy. I will always remember Jack for his telling of a joke to his family as a young school child. It became a family saying that always brought a smile. "Long ago an old lady went to the horse races. She was very worried about her bloomers, as the waist elastic was quite loose. Suddenly, the crowd yelled "they're off", and the old lady fainted." So, often when we are leaving to go somewhere, we will say, "We're off, and the old lady fainted." It never fails to bring a smile. -- Gillian Pearson, Victoria, British Columbia

January-18-13: My sincere condolences to all John's family. To my dear friend Wendy, may you find strength in the love of family and the warm embrace of friends and the wonderful memories of you and your dad together. -- Linda Chalifoux, Edmonton
