Although I have not yet defined what I mean by half the terms
in Table 1.5, this is a convenient place
to summarize the known and hypothetical interactions of matter.
It is conventional to group "superweak"
together with the electroweak interaction (which "unifies"
the weak and electromagnetic forces)
and to put "superstrong" and "ultrastrong"
in with the strong interaction so that you should not
be surprised to hear that there are only three
"official" forces - gravity, electroweak and strong.
However, there is a certain amount of freedom in semantics here....
