The Department maintains a small lab with 2 X-terminals and 2 PCs for graduate student (and faculty) use. This has served the needs of those students who do not have access to machines in their labs or offices fairly well. However, a strong case can be made for a moderate expansion of these facilities, which would also provide improved resources for computational physics courses offered at the senior undergraduate and graduate level. An estimated $15,000 would be needed for this upgrade.
